Sunset in New York City

Not every sunset in NYC is spectacular. The best are around the time of the summer and winter solstices. Due to the northern position of the setting sun, this sunset is in the summer solstice time frame.
The break between the building where the sun is visible is 90th Street on the Upper West Side. The picture was taken from the 11th floor in a building on Broadway.
The water towers you see are not for just decoration, they all are working and are actually required by the city, even in new building whether you see them or they are hidden inside the building. - Photographer Richard Pearlman
